MISSION
Provide homeless or at-risk of being homeless veterans the opportunity to leave homelessness and develop financial and social independence by providing transitional housing to include room and board, assistance in obtaining financial independence, medical benefits and services, and re-engagement with community and family.
DONATIONS
As a community-based program donations are a vital part of the success of our organization. Donations help provide housing, food, transportation, and essential services for veterans in need. Helping Veterans Rebuild Their Lives
About the Program
Right Turn for Yuma Veterans is a program of Child & Family Services of Yuma, Inc., a nonprofit organization serving the community since 1979.
Established in 2014, the program works to reduce veteran homelessness in Yuma County by providing long-term transitional housing in a safe group home environment for up to six veterans.
Our residents receive more than housing—they receive the support and guidance needed to successfully transition back to independent living.
Our Support Services
We help veterans build a strong foundation for their future through:
• Mental health counseling
• Case coordination
• Transportation assistance
• Life coaching
Each veteran works toward personal goals such as improving health, gaining financial independence, reconnecting with family, finding employment or education, and transitioning to independent living.
